3rd year trip to Tayto Park
Third year students enjoyed a trip to Tayto Park yesterday.
YOUNG SCIENTIST PRESENTATION
Some pictures of our students at the Young Scientist presentation on Thursday 19th May at the Sport Science department in UL. They got to take part in physiology and biomechanics labs, heard speakers from different areas of sports science and presented their young scientist project to other attendees. It was a great opportunity and they represented the school really well!
Transition Year Graduation and Awards ceremony
All transition year students and their parents are invited to the TY Graduation on Wednesday 25th 7.00 in the school hall. Students must wear full school uniform
TY Carlingford trip
TY students enjoyed two days of activities in Carlingford taking part in water sports, climbing and lots of activities. Well done to all. Thanks to the teachers who accompanied them.

Spirit Day 2022
All students and staff enjoyed a fun day in the grounds of Scoil Uí Chonaill today. Everyone got into the spirit of the games, activities and dancing. Ice cream cones and refreshments were enjoyed by all. Thank you to the Board of Management for supporting the event.
Awards Ceremony - Uniform
The end of year awards ceremony will take place tomorrow for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th & 6th Year students. All students must wear correct uniform to the school awards ceremony. Students who are timetabled for PE must wear loose fitting navy tracksuit bottoms and school hoody. Students who are not in the correct uniform will not be permitted to attend. We would appreciate if you could ensure that your daughter is in the correct uniform in the morning. Thank you
U14 Leinster football champions
Congratulations to the U14 squad on winning the Leinster U14 title after tough semi-final and final matches in Kinnegad on 17th May..
Leinster Champions 2022 - Minor Tennis Team
Congratulations to the minor tennis team on completion of a successful campaign to win the Leinster title 2022 on Monday 16th May. Well done to 1st years: Mary Drury Byrne, Jenny Dundon, Sally Flynn and Eleanor Kenny and 2nd years: Ava Dandy, Ava Keenan (capt), Hazel Power and Isabel Twomey.

5th year agricultural science students enjoyed a great day at Dublin Zoo yesterday

Prizgiving for students will take place on Thursday 19th May 2022.
A Spirit Day will take place in Scoil Uí Chonaill on Wednesday 18th May for students between 11am and 2.50pm. Parents are welcome to join from 2.30pm.
6th YEAR GRADUATION
The 6th year graduation will take place on Friday 20th May at 2.00pm in St. Johns Church. There will be a reception for students and parents in the school afterwards.
1st Year Hockey Blitz
Congratulations to the 1st year students who took part in the hockey blitz against our neighbours Manor House this morning. Great skills displayed and all enjoyed.
Under 14 Tennis
Congratulations to the U14 tennis team who continue their successful campaign. The team defeated Mount Anville 3-0 to progress to the semi-finals. Congratulations and best of luck in future matches.

Welcome back to the Class of 2020
This evening we welcomed the Class of 2020 back to the school. The students finally got to say goodbye, in person, to some of their teachers and to their classrooms. It was lovely to see the students and to hear about what they are doing now.

Italian Trip September 2022

SECOND YEARS FLY HIGH AT SKY PARK CARLINGFORD
The 2nd year students enjoyed a trip to Carlingford today. There was great excitement and a great day was had by all.
Congratulations to Elise Cunningham - Leinster Champion
Congratulations to Elise Cunningham (2nd Year) who won the Leinster Time Trial Championship title for Cycling, The tough competition, against the best female riders in Leinster, was run over an 8km hilly course. Her gold Leinster medal now sits proudly beside her two two silvers from the All Irelands last summer! Well done, Elise.
TY Bronze Gaisce Venture Hike
62 TY students completed their Bronze Gaisce awards today completing their hike in the Wicklow Mountains. Congratulations to all those involved and to Ms Nolan & Ms Monaghan the Bronze Gaisce PALs for all their organisation and support for students this year. Well done all.

Get Going Get Rowing Blitz
Congratulations to the TY students who took place in the Get Going, Get Rowing blitz today. There were two gold medals for Holy Faith. Well done!

TY students have enjoyed a Gospel Workshop with Gomba Edu and skipping with skip’n’rope over the past weeks. Well done to the girls for giving it 100%. Great fun was had by all.
2D Brain Busters Event
2D took part in the An Post Brain Busters event today. Congratulations to Ava Keenan, who won the final earlier in the year, and thank you to her classmates who took part in the event with her today. The event was filmed for An Post. Well done everyone!
SILVER GAISCE AWARD
Well done to the 5th year students who completed their "Adventure Journey" as part of their Silver Gaisce Award. This was a 53km hike in Wicklow where the students camped, made their own food, and followed a map to their destination over 3 days. The students climbed over 1500m in elevation, with happy faces. An absolutely fantastic achievement. Well done to Isabel Mac Dermot, Aoife Caulfield, Kira Allman Castle, Laoise Birch, Caoilinn McKeon, Lauren Kelly, Meave Howard, Caoimhe O'Neill, Huixn Chen, and Xinyi Zhou.

Darkness Into Light Walk for Pieta House
Thank you to all who attended and supported the dawn walk this morning. There was a huge number of students, teachers and parents, and it was lovely to see such a big crowd taking part. Thank you for the donations received today, if any parents would like to make a donation via Easypayments, that option is now available on the website. Finally, a huge thank you to the mental health committee who have worked so hard over the past few weeks to organise the event and provided lovely refreshments in the hall afterwards. The committee is made up of students from 1st to 6th year and they have been an absolute pleasure to deal with. Well done everyone.

Darkness into light walk - Friday 29th April 5:45am
The mental health committee would like to remind all, that the darkness into light walk is taking place tomorrow, Friday 29th April. The school will be open from 5:30am and the group will depart at 5:45am from the school gates. Students have permission to wear their own clothes and are encouraged to bring in donations for Pieta House. Donations will collected throughout the day. Tea/coffee and some light refreshments will be available in the school hall afterwards. Students can go home after walk, but should return for class at 8:45am. Parents, siblings and dogs welcome!

Best of luck to Elise Cunningham (2nd year) who has been picked to represent Leinster this weekend in a two day, 3 stage cycling race in Kanturk, Cork. Elise is one of only four girls who were selected to represent Leinster. This follows a win a few weeks ago in Kerry and top 5 positions in her last two races. Elise is a member of the Orwell Wheelers Cycling Club. Well done, Elise!

Well done to all of the students in the school who played for their GAA clubs in the Feile last weekend. Congratulations to the Clontarf U15 team who were finalists, a number of 2nd/3rd years & even one 1st year are on the team who lost narrowly after extra time!
Hannah Healy leads Irish Schools Team to Soccer success.
THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND SCHOOLS Soccer team headed to Newcastle earlier this month with high hopes of retaining the Bob Docherty Cup which they last captured in 2019. Hannah HEALY (2nd year) lead the class of 2022 in this year’s tournament and she was expected to be a prominent star for the Irish and one to watch out for. Hannah more than lived up to that expectation and captained the team to three successive victories to retain the Bob Docherty Cup. The Irish management named Captain Hannah HEALY as Player of the Tournament. She led the line perfectly over the three games. Scored against England in the opening match and headed home the winner against Scotland in the final. Well done Hannah and best wishes in upcoming matches.
Best of luck to Cara Groenewald and Orla Hickey
Tomorrow, Cara and Orla fly to Croatia with the Irish Taekwon-Do team. Their club and the school are very proud of them. They will represent Ireland in 1st degree black belt patterns and Team Ireland patterns. They have worked very hard and have their final session in Clontarf this evening. Orla goes to the Championships as Ireland's number 1 and Cara is number 2 in the country. We wish both ladies the very best this week

The best of luck to past pupil, Stephanie McKeon (Class of 2005) who is nominated for an Olivier Award for best actress, in the role as Anna in the musical Frozen. The awards will take place in the Royal Albert Hall this evening.

Raheny Shamrocks are hosting a Track & Field Championship Event. Date: 10th April 2022 Time: 12noon - 3pm Venue: Morton Stadium As we have the North Leinsters at Morton Stadium at the end of April, this would be a great opportunity for the girls to get up to the track. They would love to see as many Holy Faith athletes there. The event is free to attend

1st Year Easter Bake Off
Well done to all of the 1st year students who entered the 'Easter Bake Off' run by the Home Economics Department. All of the students produced wonderful cakes.
