General Information

School Contributions

Holy Faith Secondary School, Clontarf, is a voluntary secondary school operating within the free education scheme.

As you can appreciate, the cost of running the school exceeds the funding received from the Department of Education and Skills. The subscriptions and contributions of parents enable us to provide the students with opportunities and facilities above and beyond the basic curriculum. We would ask for your support if possible in the following two areas:

 

REGISTRATION SUBSCRIPTIONS 2023-24

Amenities Subscription of €140.00 covers the following services to students:
the use of the library, lockers, educational equipment, copying of supplementary course materials, tests and house examination papers, guidance tests (CATs, Drumcondra Tests), term reports, guest speakers, audio-visual and other teaching aids, e.g. films, videos/DVDs, software etc.

Games and Extra-Curricular Subscription of €125.00 contributes to after-school sports including coaching, affiliation and entry fees, contribution towards cost of buses for training and matches, pitch/venue hire, referee fees, team jerseys and use of equipment. The subscription also covers after school drama, music and debating/public speaking.
 

VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTION

A contribution of €275 or other amount assists with the payment of part-time teaching hours which ensures that we can continue to offer the range of subjects, levels and services currently provided. The fund also supplements the amenities, activities and games offered as well as contributing towards curricular and co-curricular activities which benefit the whole school community.

 

RE-REGISTRATIONS SUBSCRIPTIONS 2023-24

Amenities Subscription of €120.00 covers the following services to students:
the use of the library, lockers, educational equipment, copying of supplementary course materials, tests and house examination papers, guidance tests (CATs, Drumcondra Tests), term reports, guest speakers, audio-visual and other teaching aids, e.g. films, videos/DVDs, software etc.

Supervised Study

Supervised study is offered to third, fifth and sixth years.

There are three sessions of 10 weeks that take place during the year and there is a fee for each session, with a discount for families with more than one daughter availing of supervised study. Supervised study is two hours duration:

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday:  4.00pm to 6.00pm

Wednesday: 3.15pm-5.15pm

Friday: 2.30pm -4.30pm
