Message from the Principal

We welcome you to our website which we hope gives you a flavour and overview of our learning community in Holy Faith, Clontarf.

Since 1890, the Sisters of the Holy Faith have dedicated themselves to serving the Clontarf community and surrounding communities by providing Primary and Secondary education.  Since 2009, Holy Faith schools have been under the trusteeship of the Le Chéile, a Catholic Schools Trust

While being justifiably proud of its long tradition and heritage, Holy Faith, Clontarf, strives consistently to adapt to the educational requirements of a rapidly changing world and has a history of commitment to curriculum innovation and development. The school is traditional, contemporary and futuristic. It draws from and relies on the Christian values of the past, works to help its students meet the challenges and reality of the present and to look to the future with maturity, confidence and hope, empowered by a broad general education.

The school also has a long tradition of social responsibility and supports the philosophy of Margaret Aylward, founder of Holy Faith Sisters, of “a faith that is living and operative”.  Through a learning community inspired by the Christian values of faith and justice and based on respect, we seek to form integrated and self-reliant persons, who will be moved to work for a better world.  Students are encouraged to pursue excellence in all areas of school life, academic, creative and practical, to develop their own natural talents and gifts in a safe, friendly and caring environment, to recognise our responsibility towards the wider community and develop a spirit of service and to avail of opportunities for spiritual development.
